from: Maxx Sports GuidesDirt bike trail riding is much more popular these days. As a matter of fact, it's one of the fastest growing motorsport that's non competitive. Imagine the thrill and exhilaration you'll experience as you go about the rough and rigorous terrain at high speed. Most of the dirt bikes trails in the United States that are frequented by dirt bike riders range from precipitous sloping hills to the most rugged environment. The most frequented dirt bike trails in the United States are located in Texas.
There are numerous Texas dirt bike trails. The central part of Texas has dirt bike trails that are also used for hiking and mountain biking. Some of the Texas dirt bike trails are private property and are open only on dirt bike racing events and owners restrict public riding.
All of the public lands riding facilities in Texas that offer dirt bike trail riding require a "Texas Off Highway Vehicle" sticker on the dirt bikes. These stickers are available on selected "public riding areas" and on local motorcycle dealers. It is important that before you head out to the Texas dirt bike trails of your choice, you must first determine whether the dirt bike trails are open for public or not.
One of the most popular Texas dirt bike trails is located on "Sam Houston National Forest". The length of the dirt bike trail of the Sam Houston National Forest is more than 128 kilometers or at least 80 miles long. Its dirt bike trails are a combination of rugged terrain and steep hills. The most popular location of the Sam Houston National Forest for dirt bike trail riding is the "Kelly Pond Recreation Area and Multi-use Trailhead". This location is westward of "Interstate 45" around eight miles along "FM-1375 west side of "New Waverly".
Another popular Texas dirt bike trail is the "Pearl Pass Trail" located on the rocky mountains of Colorado, Texas. The Pearl Pass Trail has numerous beautiful and scenic trails that are filled with shelf roads of which are mostly one vehicle wide (all terrain vehicles). The shelf roads are very rigorous and rocky, although most of the dirt bike trails are quite easy. The most of its dirt bike trails are only open for a few weeks because of certain weather conditions, such as snow blockage.
The dirt bike trails of Texas are very diverse. It's recommended you first consult the local facilities before heading out to ride.
