Kawasaki Dirt Bikes: a Good Choice for New and Experienced Dirt Bikers
from: Maxx Sports GuidesDirt biking is undoubtedly one of today's most popular motor sports. Just watching high leaping dirt bikes roar over rough terrain can be exciting.
If you're a dirt bike aficionado and want to try dirt biking, you most likely should have your own dirt bike.
Many brands of dirt bikes are available on the market. In choosing a dirt bike, you don't have to get the latest dirt bike on the market. You just need a good quality dirt bike, along with the required gear and equipment.
If you're looking for a good quality dirt bike, Kawasaki manufactures one of today's most popular lines of dirt bikes. They're considered one of today's best dirt bikes. Designed for rough terrain and off road tracks, they're used mainly by dirt bike riders for motocross competitions.
Kawasaki dirt bikes are durable and lightweight; they have knobby tires for added traction.
Two-Stroke, Four-Stroke Engines
Kawasaki dirt bikes have two types of engines: two-stroke and four-stroke. The two-stroke Kawasaki engine ably powers up the dirt bike. And at the same time it lubricates the engine by igniting the oil and gas mixture inside the engine's cylinder.
Although the four-stroke Kawasaki engine works similar to a small car engine, the dirt bike engine ignites the gasoline and recycles the oil inside the engine's cylinder.
Kawasaki's first dirt bike on the market in 1963 was the B8M Motocrosser model. At the time this dirt bike was used primarily at major off road motorcycle racing events in Japan.
The B8M Motocrosser started the legacy of high quality Kawasaki dirt bikes. It was followed by the Kawasaki KF450F in the company's dirt bike series.
The KF450F is equipped with a five-speed gearbox and a multitude of refinements in its engine and chassis. The KF450F is the dominant force among the competition.
This particular Kawasaki dirt bike has an improved base end and midrange power for quicker acceleration. Its improved engine tuning is fixed with a five-speed gearbox for added flexibility in selecting gears.
Throughout the company's history, Kawasaki has continuously worked to improve its products through innovations and advancements. As a result, Kawasaki dirt bikes have added considerably to the competition among dirt bike manufacturers.
