Paintball Squad Members Must Work As a Team to Win the Game!
from: Maxx Sports GuidesPaintball is a rough sport but it's not always a physical game; more often, it's a mind game. Physical fitness and strength are important, but a good strategy can make or break your game.
An effective strategy in playing paintball is to make use of squads. You can achieve this by dividing the paintball players into squads.
A squad, preferably made up of not more than six members, plays to achieve a common objective. Ideally, squad members are disciplined and quick in their physical movements.
If possible, each squad member should be briefed on the team's specific objective and how each member can help achieve this goal.
Individual Movements Important
Each squad member must realize that their individual movements are important to the team. Slow movement can be an asset when the enemy is near.
Squad members can avoid getting hit by paintballs by learning to hide. They also must realize that by learning how to hide they diminish the chances that they'll be seen or fired upon by the enemy.
A relative distance of at least five yards between squad members will make it more difficult for the enemy to see you.
Patience is one of the most important traits in playing paintball.
Not only must paintball squad members use their physical agility, but more importantly they must use their minds to follow strategies that will help them win against their opponents.
Squad members must also learn to coordinate with each other, so they aren't detected by their enemies. Each member must be in the right position before firing and the squad should fire as a group.
Squad members should support fellow members being fired upon by firing back; especially when they're in a better position to do so.
Most importantly, the squad needs to know they're playing for the team and that coordination and teamwork are key factors in winning the game. Remember, the more guns that are firing as one, the better -- especially in paintball.
If you continue to play as a team you'll certainly have a big advantage over your enemies.
