Should You Go Parasailing Alone?
from: Maxx Sports GuidesExperts suggest that an individual not go on a mountain climbing expedition alone. This is understandable because mountain climbing is risky and dangerous.
Does the same warning apply to parasailing?
Parasailing, which has become popular throughout the United States, has been around as a recreational activity for about 30 years. Any one brave enough can try this fun and adventurous activity.
Designs have been adapted to modern times, allowing any individual to take flight safely. If you would like to fly like a bird, parasailing may be for you.
The flight is enjoyable and breathtaking. Those who have tried it say that the parasail is so stable they don’t have to steer. The passenger can take in each moment of the ride and simply enjoy the view.
Landing is less daunting than it seems. The whole procedure involves a boat or a four-wheel vehicle slowing down until the parasailer lowers himself to the ground.
Duties of Driver, Ground Crew
Normally, a person has a driver and a ground crew with him when he goes parasailing. The driver’s task is to tow the parasailer and the parachute.
The ground crew makes certain that all harnesses are locked and secure. The ground crew needs to make certain the parasailer is protected when floating high in the sky.
The question arises, can someone go parasailing alone? This means, can a sole individual take off at the customized flight pad all by himself? The answer is yes. However, you are required to be older than 10 years of age.
For children aged 10 or less, it’s strongly advised that a ground crew member be with the young child. This is called "tandem parasailing." Some parents insist on riding with their child.
You can soar from on high in the Caribbean, as your speedboat whisks you along the water, or your balloon quietly and gently carries you among the clouds.
Imagine getting a spectacular view for a relatively low price, making it affordable for just about anyone.
